Investigating Global Drug & Money Laundering Organizations

 

Mr. Mazur will be the featured speaker at the Sixth Annual Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Conference sponsored by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina.  Three hundred federal, state, and local drug enforcement officers will attend this OCDETF conference, as well as many prosecutors from counties throughout North Carolina.

During the conference, Mr. Mazur will discuss advanced techniques of investigating international drug and money laundering organizations, recent trends in money laundering methods, and red flags that can be found in commercial transactions that are actually transfers of tainted funds. Mr. Mazur will also lecture conference attendees concerning the minimization of risks faced by narcotics officers who are confronted with the combined challenges of managing informants, working undercover, and investigating narcotics offenses.
