Managing Informant Risk
(The Slippery Slope To Destruction)

The Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee Conference is an annual event sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Regional Community Policing Institute.  This conference is attended by Chiefs of Police, Sheriffs, and Special Agents In Charge of law enforcement agencies throughout Florida.  Through this conference, law enforcement executives who direct the activities of local, state, and federal agencies are given the opportunity to share the most current information about trends in law enforcement, crime, and law enforcement training.

During the conference, Mr. Mazur will present facts about the unique training he has designed to help law enforcement officers identify and manage critical risk, including the risk inherent in the management of informants.  During 2003, Mr. Mazur provided this risk management training to hundreds of law enforcement officers throughout the United States.  Mr. Mazur’s seminars addressing the minimization of officer risk have been acclaimed by both new and experienced officers as “eye opening” and critical to their everyday success.  His seminars provide narcotics officers with critical “real life” information that enhances their ability to identify and confront the risks they face while conducting drug investigations and managing informants.
